Aluminium Shafts for the the Sanwa JLF and Hori Hayabusa levers aren't new, but our approach is. CNC machined from high quality, light weight aluminium they offer a unique design where the overall shaft dimensions equal that of one with a plastic shaft cover installed; including the natural taper of the official Sanwa shaft cover. The result is a natural feel and look you are used to with a high quality anodized finish.
What is anodizing? The process is called anodizing because the part to be treated forms the anode electrode of an electrolytic cell (like a battery). Anodizing increases resistance to corrosion and wear, and provides better adhesion for paint primers and glues than bare metal does. Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, including coatings that can absorb dyes as you see in these shafts.
Compatibility: Sanwa JLF and Hori Hayabusa Levers.
Notes: Due to the part being needing to be lowered into the anodizing solution, there may be some portions of the threads where the anodizing didn't stick due to the recovery thread being attached. This is normal.
