The Kracken Wiring Harness - BASE KIT

Do you hate making wiring harnesses? Do off the shelf "universal" harnesses that have not changed in 15 years drive you nuts? Well, The KRACKEN solves all of your issues. Designed to sit on top of most Brook (or compatible form factor PCBs) it breaks out all of the vital button connections (and LEDs!) to easy to use, solder free JST PH connectors. Each button has both a signal and Ground Connection so you don't have to fuss with daisy chains. You can add as much or as little wiring to this BASE KIT as you want using our builder scheme. Get the wires you want in the lengths that make sense for your build. 

Features:

• The following Buttons are available as JST PH-2 headers: U, D, L, R, L3, R3, TB/FN, Start, Select, Home, Touch Pad, 1P, 2P, 3P, 4P, 1K, 2K, 3K, 4K
• U, D, L, R are also available via a single JST PH-5 header
• Start, Select, Home, and Touch Pad are connected to a "KILL GROUND" which can be jumped directly to the GROUND connection using the jumper header OR you can connect to an external switch and LOCK them using it. 
• Player LEDs and Turbo LEDs are broken out to PH-2 Headers as well with 165Ohm Resistors inline. This allows for 20mA or below LEDs to be connected SAFELY to your KRACKEN

The Base Kit Comes With:

• Main KRACKEN PCB
• 4x PCB Spacers
• 4x #4-40 screws (Panzer 5, Frame, etc. compatible, check your fight stick for compatibility)
• 3x Jumper Wires to use between the Brook PCB and the KRACKEN to ensure all signals are passed through.

What you need to provide:

• The appropriate number and length of pre-crimped ready to use wires from our selection.

Why do we think this is the best? The flexibility of course! This is a simple plug and play system. No soldering, no crimping. Just plug in and connect buttons. You can get clean well managed cables without the fuss stretching and daisy chaining. Pay for what you need and customize it from the beginning. If you need even more custom wiring lengths, you can make your own to piggy back onto the KRACKEN easily, that's why we use JST connectors. They are reliable and COMMON at places like Digikey.
