Hiding the CPS3 BIOS Cartridge inside your CPS3 case

Have you ever been concerned that the bios cartridge PCI slot or the cartridge itself might get damaged when you’re shuffling the CPS3 case inside your cab or your backpack during transit?

Worry no more! There is a simple hack for CPS3 that allow you to hide the cartridge inside the Jasen’s Customs CPS3 case without any modification to the case.

You can use a PCI Riser 1U Right Angle Adapter from eBay or other shop that you can find; the trick is the adapter has to be inward facing or the “Reverse Version”. The “normal version” would not work due to interference with the CPS3 board components.

Installation is pretty straight forward, you just have to insert the angled PCI-Riser adapter to the PCI slot, then connect your cartridge into it. The cartridge will now be mounted sideways and fit inside the CPS3 case perfectly. There is no need to deshell the cart using this method. Afterwards, if you are handy, you can 3D print a cover the opening the case to cover the hole completely.
