The JCC-MX key cap was designed (by Jasen) and manufactured in the United States. We partnered with a long time customer (and proud Panzer Fight Stick owner) at ArkPlas to take our key cap design for the Panzer Fight Stick MX series of panels from a novel 3D printed test piece to a properly manufactured, injection molded part.  The process was long but the final fit and finish is amazing because of the attention to detail along the entire journey to get here.

Our caps fit into 30mm openings with minimal gap all the way around. Intentionally designed for the Panzer Fight Stick 5 series of cases, if the opening is sized properly they can fit any MX style switch. They are designed to the Cherry MX published standard.

They are intentionally rounded on the edges to allow for fast slides between buttons and flat on top so you can feel exactly when you hit the "sweet spot" of the cap.  Additionally, the body of our caps extend down to the same spot as the stem connector so you have a more finished looking install.

Dimensions:  ~29mm diameter, ~6mm tall

Comparison between the JCC-MX and similar caps previously recommended:

  • Thicker walls
  • Only 2 grab points for mx cap pullers
  • ABS Plastic
  • Solid Color (for now)
  • Taller

Comparison to Sinehouse Buttons

I have been using Sinehouse button caps since they were pretty much the only game in town. For the panzer4 and 5 Sinehouse would leave an annoying gap where debris and dust could enter. JCC-MX Key Caps solved this problem with buttons that are flush against the plexi.

In use, the JCC-MX provide better grip. I am finding it much more consistent since the JCC-MX are less slippery than Sinehouse's offering. The Sinehouses would sometimes pop off during play which is a huge no for fighting games.

I would recommend Jasen's offering over Sinehouse for the Panzer 4 and 5, and shipment is so much quicker than attempting to get button caps off Ali. These are a W, now we just need more color selections!
